Charles Edward (Catfish) Drennan, age 61, of Madisonville, KY

drennanHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Charles Edward (Catfish) Drennan, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his residence in Madisonville, KY He was born in Caldwell County, KY on September 29, 1951 to the late Harvey Drennan and Geneva Marie Allsbrooks Ausenbaugh. He was a coal miner and he worked for many years with the Kentucky Dept. of Transportation.

Mr. Drennan was a very generous, compassionate and friendly person, and he would commonly lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife~ Rita Drennan of Madisonville, KY; one daughter ~ Shana (Richard) Jarrell of Deland, FL; a step son~ Scotty Copple of Dawson Springs, KY; sister~ Catherine Bannister of Western, KY; brother~ J. D. Drennan of Madisonville, KY; step mother~ Shirley Mae Drennan of Dawson Springs, KY; three half sisters~ Vickie Ladd of Dawson Springs, KY, Sharon Gibbs of Madisonville, KY, and Susan Miller of Hopkinsville, KY; two half brothers~ Clifton and Eugene Drennan both of Dawson Springs, KY; two grandchildren~ Eliana Jarrell and Richard Jarrell III of FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother~ Harvey Drennen, Jr., and step son~ Dylan Copple.

Visitation for Mr. Charles Edward Drennan will be Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:
DAPS, P.O. Box 135, Dawson Springs, KY 42408;
Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
