Edna Catherine Asher, 82

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Edna Catherine Asher, 82, widow of Charles Asher, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 in Madisonville, KY. Born in Ruddles Mill, KY, she was a daughter of the late Monroe and Josephine Florence. She was a member of Arlington Christian Church.

Survivors are two daughters, Carol (Mont) Wood, Madisonville, and Charla Asher, Lexington; grandchildren, Meaghan Wood-Teal, Madisonville, Lauren Wester and Lindsay Summers, both of Bowling Green, Matthew Wood, Sarah Wood and Brenna Wood, all of Madisonville; a great-grandchild, Jack Teal, Madisonville; two sisters, Ruby Webb, Lexington, and Roberta Beck, London.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Florence, Georgetown, and Bobby Florence, Lexington, and a sister, Martha Florence, Lexington.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
