NEBO, Ky. - Roy A. Fuson, 92, of Nebo, KY, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville.
He was born March 30, 1920 in Bell Co., KY to the late John Arthur Fuson and Ruthie Mason Fuson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hester P. Fuson; one daughter, Janice Burton; three sisters, Dessie, Annie and Della and five brothers, Elmer, Verlan, Herbert, Floyd and Paris.
Mr. Fuson was a member of the Silent Run Missionary Baptist Church in Nebo. He was a coal miner for Fies 11 and Island Creek Coal. He was also a World War II Army Veteran. He loved to garden, fish, University of KY sports and talking about his lord.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Luck and husband Don of Nebo; one son, Danny Fuson and wife Patricia of Rabbit Ridge, KY; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Jerry Burton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Silent Run Cemetery in Nebo.
Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday and after 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
