Ruby Alsbrooks, 90, of Providence, KY

PROVIDENCE, Ky. - Ruby Alsbrooks, 89, of Providence passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville. She was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Rex Alsbrooks; two sons, Leroy Alsbrooks and Jerry Alsbrooks; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Alsbrooks; and two grandchildren, Shari and Steve Alsbrooks.

She is survived by two sons, James Rex (Alana) Alsbrooks of Cadiz and Wayne Alsbrooks of Providence; a daughter-in-law, Diana Alsbrooks of Providence; two sisters, Marie Alsbrooks and Anna Alsbrooks, both of Providence; one brother, the Rev. Raymond Cummins of Providence; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Melton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery in Providence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 8 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
