Roy T. Cox, 78, of Madisonville, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Roy T. Cox, 78, of Madisonville, KY, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY.

He was born January 4, 1935 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late Finis and Verbia Hasley Cox. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Fay Cox and dearly loved daughter-in-law Linda Bennett.

Mr. Cox was an active member of Grace Warehouse Church in Madisonville. He also enjoyed gardening and carpentry work.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Childers Cox; two daughters, Serina (Shane) White and LaDonna (Thomas) Childers both of Madisonville; two sons, Gary (Donna) Bennett and Phillip Bennett both of Madisonville; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Bennett, Bro. Phillip Bennett, and Bro. Thomas Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rob Bennett, Kaleb Wyatt, Shane White, Jonathan White, Tyler White, and Blake Harris. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chris Willyard.
