Estelle Rickard, 93, of Madisonville, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Estelle Rickard, 93, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.

She was born October 17, 1918 in Portland, TN to the late Clarence G. and Dovie Bradley Scott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everette Rickard; daughter, Julia Kiscaden; two sons, James and Kendall Rickard; one brother, Monroe Scott and five sisters, Minnie Belle; Mary Rose; Dorothy; Helen and Martha.

Mrs. Rickard was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church and former Salem Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, ironing and washing windows.

She is survived by a daughter and caretaker, Beverly (Bob) Stanley of Madisonville; one sister, Bessie (James) Green of Salem, KY; granddaughter and caretaker, Kelly (Brian) Howell of Madisonville, eight grandchildren, Cary (Jane) Stanley of Princeton, IN; Darin Stanley of Bremen, KY; James (Yvonne) Rickard of Louisville, KY; Nikki Rickard of Providence, MA; Vonda Rickard of Mortons Gap, KY; James (Ruby) Kiscaden of Earlington, KY and Elaine Perry of Texas; daughter-in-law Clara Rickard of Mortons Gap and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Madisonville.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. time on Tuesday and after 12:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grapevine Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
