Ellis Jake Earl Reddick, 74, of Hopkinsville, KY formerly of Madisonville, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Ellis Jake Earl Reddick, 74, of Hopkinsville, KY formerly of Madisonville, KY, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and had a heart for God! He loved his family and friends.

He was born March 19, 1938 in Princeton, KY to the late Earl Jake and Annie Frances Oliver Reddick. He was also preceded in death by one brother.

Mr. Reddick was a U.S. Army Veteran and owner/operator of Star Construction Co., builder of the year several times, a member of the Hopkins County Home Builder’s Association and National Association of Home Builders. He also retired from L & N Railroad after 20 years of service. Mr. Reddick also helped start several churches in the area and was a member of Covenant Community Church.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Reddick; two daughters, Stefanie (Jaime) Crowell of Madisonville and Amy (Dr. David) Bealle of Hopkinsville; one son, Todd (Michelle) Reddick of Marion, KY; one brother, Wallace “Buddy” Reddick of Pearl, MS; sixteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Covenant Community Church with Pastor Michael Knight, Rev. Glen Hobgood, and Pastor Charlie Weir officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens, Hopkinsville.

Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:30 A.M until service time Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Care Food Bank of Madisonville or Ordinary Hero’s Organization. Envelopes will be available at the church.
