MADISONVILLE, KY - Alma J. Taylor, 83, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 3:57 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
She was born on August 25, 1929 in Bremen, KY to the late Janie and Houston Peveler. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her children. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband of fifty-nine years, Harold T. Taylor who passed away on January 15, 2013; two sisters, Cybil Case and Fredia Abney; and her brother, Wayne Peveler.
She is survived by three sons, Anthony (Janice) Taylor of Hanson, KY, Steve (Tammy) Taylor of Madisonville and Bruce (Melissa) Taylor of Hanson; two brothers, Norman Peveler of Livermore, KY and Edsel (Betty) Peveler of White Plains, KY; two sisters, Mary Wedding of Madisonville and Deborah (Mike) Abney of Calhoun, KY; four grandsons, Drew Taylor, Chris Taylor, Jacob Taylor and Kaleb Taylor; three granddaughters, Stephanie Taylor, Kyleigh Taylor and Kyndal Taylor; her great-granddaughter, Zoe Taylor and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating and Dr. Monroe Slaton assisting. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville. Pallbearers will be the grandsons and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at Harris Funeral Home.
