Robert Morgan Brooks, 94 of Slaughters, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Robert Morgan Brooks, 94 of Slaughters, KY passed away at 5:50 PM Sunday February 24, 2013 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville, KY.

He was born October 5, 1918 in Webster County, KY to the late Joe Justice and Dixie Mae (Coffman) Brooks.

He was a member of Slaughters United Methodist Church, United Methodist Men, and a WWII Army Veteran. He had been Sales Manager at a men’s clothing store for over 35 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joe Justice Brooks, Jr.

He is survived by his caregiver; Joetta Melton of Slaughters, KY; 2 nieces and cousins.

Services will be held Wednesday February 27th at 12:00 Noon at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Burial will follow in Slaughters Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 until 12:00 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Steve Melton, Chris Melton, John Melton, Jim Shadrick, David Coffman and Ralph Coffman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.
