HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Darrel Orange, 82, of Hanson, KY passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at his home.
He was born on September 30, 1930 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Z.D. Orange and Bloxie Lou Hollman Orange. He was a self employed contractor. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Madisonville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Hoffman Orange; six brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two daughters, Becky Crick of Henderson, KY and Teresa Fields of Dawson Springs, KY; six sons, Donald (Lynn) Orange of Eddyville, KY, Thomas (Sharon) Orange of Madisonville, KY, Ronnie Orange of Manchester, TN, Danny (Lesa) Orange of Madisonville, KY, Randy (Gwen) Orange of Hanson, KY, and Eric (Michelle) Orange of Slaughters, KY; one sister, Janice White of Merryville, TN; one brother, Lawrence Orange of Madisonville, KY; twenty six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Chris Whittmer officiating. Burial will be in Creekmur Cemetery near Dawson Springs, KY.
Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.
