HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Ida Noraine Franklin Fox, 82, of Beulah, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY.
She was born on February 28, 1931 to the late William Gilbert Franklin and Rela Jane Martin Franklin. She was formerly a seamstress with Enro Shirt Factory in Madisonville. She was baptized into the Christian faith on October 7, 1956. During her life she attended Suthards Christian Church and was a member of Grapevine Christian Church in Madisonville. On January 26, 2013 she celebrated sixty-four years of marriage to her husband, Earl Gene Fox.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings; William Gilbert Franklin, Jr., Jane Franklin Hibbs, Charles Leo Franklin, and Brad Leon Franklin.
She is survived by her family that she loved and adored, her husband, Earl Fox; her children, Bryce Eugene (Diane) Fox of Madisonville, Susan Fox (Rod) Barnett of Charlestown, IN, Jo Fox of Louisville, KY and Stephanie Fox (Scott) Heltsley of Shepherdsville, KY; her grandchildren, Heather Barnett (Matt) Dodds, Alan (Amy) Fox, Tara Fox (Sammy) Offutt, Eric Fox, Taylor Heltsley, Halee Heltsley and Cody Scott Heltsley; her great-grandchildren, Hayden Fox, Kinsley Fox, Lucas Offutt, Juniper Dodds and Addilyn Offutt; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Evelyn Franklin and Mary Romerhaus; and brother-in-law, Morris Hibbs.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Brad Tucker officiating and Bro. George Carmen assisting. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren, Brandon Terry and Parrish Terry.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
