Anna Doris Davis Boles

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Anna Doris Davis Boles passed away Monday, March 11, 2013. She was born December 11, 1921 in St. Charles KY and resided in Madisonville since 1936. She graduated from Madisonville High School in 1938, and in 1941 she married her lifetime partner, Jack C. H. Boles, who preceded her in death, 2007. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jess and Charles Davis. Doris and Jack joined the First Christian Church in 1942 and shared an unlimited growing faith with family and extended church family.

Doris served her church well through the Lelia Dempsey Missionary Circle, Homebuilders Sunday School Class and the Choir, as well as a secretary for the church. She enjoyed volunteering at the Regional Medical Center and worked as a bookkeeper for Hoskins and Francis, CPA. Her ministry of love, wisdom, and patience will live on in the lives of her family and friends.

Doris is survived by four children; Joyce Johnston, Bob (Jan) Boles, Gordon Boles, and Martha (Bob) Casher; six grandchildren, Leslie (Russ) Morrow, Brian (Stefanie) Mick, Lisa (Patrick) Morgan, Heather (Ryan) Judy, Katherine and Lauren Casher, ten great grand children, Nathan and Nicholas (Teri) Morrow, Timothy, Brianna, Naomi and Payton Mick, Christian and Haley Hart, Abigail and Zachery Judy and two great, great grandchildren, Lucas and Landon Morrow.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Madisonville First Christian Church, with Rev. Don McLaughlin. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Barnett Strother and from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Brian Mick, Nathan Morrow, Nicholas Morrow, Ryan Judy, Patrick Morgan, Roger Butler, Wally Hardy and Ed Ramsey.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
