Hopkins County Restaurant Inspection Report – March 28, 2013

healthdeptinspections300 dHOPKINS COUNTY, KY (3/28/13) - The following is your weekly update on local restaurant inspections for the Hopkins County area, courtesy of the Hopkins County Health Department:

Acapulco Mexican Grill – 93
Minor violations:
•Spoon handle touching food product in freezer
•Debris build up on fan guard in walk-in cooler
•Bathroom tissue stored on floor
•Dish racks stored on floor
•Soiled wiping cloth stored on counter top

Bailey Pride Post (VFW) – 100
No violations

Gill’s Fuel Mart – 95
Minor violations:
•Eggs stored above chicken and other food products in cooler
•Foam cups stored on floor
•Angel soft toilet tissue stored on floor
•Self-closing devise needed on restroom doors

Good Ole Boy’s Pit BBQ – 99
Minor violations:
•Chest freezer needs defrosting
•Duct tape used on freezer

Huck’s Food & Fuel – 89 (South Main)(Needs a Follow Up)(03/22/13)
Major violation:
•Milk out of date
Minor violations:
•Hair restraints needed
•Insulated cups stored on floor
•Pizza boxes stored on floor
•Various spillage in cooling units
•Light shields needed in food prep area
•Ice scoop not properly stored
•Inside ice machine in need of cleaning
•Spillage around coffee kiosk

Huck’s Food & Fuel – 93 (South Main)(Follow Up)(03/22/13)

Minor violations:
•Spillage in cooling unit
•Walls in need of cleaning
•Floors in need of cleaning
•Area around salad bar in need of cleaning

Quality Pizza – 96
Minor violations:
•Debris build up on shelves of upright cooler
•Hand towels needed at all hand sinks, lid needed on women’s waste can
•Light shields needed in kitchen prep area

Quality Quick – 93 (West Noel)
Minor violations:
•Thermometers needed in all heating/cooling units
•Plastic containers stored on floor
•Wet rag not properly stored
•Freezer in need of cleaning
•Spillage in freezer
•Floor in need of repair

Tommy’s Pizza – 100
No violations

Wendy’s – 99
Minor violation:
•Grease build-up on motor, deep fryer, etc.

West Broadway Grade School – 100
No violations

The next food training class will be on April 9, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. If you or your employees would like to enroll, please call April at (270) 821-5242 ext 263.

If for any reason you can’t make the scheduled food training class, we will be willing to schedule different times or days.
