Cliston Ray Brackett, 84, of Madisonville, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Cliston Ray Brackett, 84, of Madisonville, KY passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Hillside Villa in Madisonville.

He was born November 23, 1928 in Madisonville to the late Leamon Brackett and Edna Franklin Brackett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Jean Brackett in 2012; two brothers, Billy Leamon Brackett and Norris Franklin Brackett and one sister, Bettie Wray.

Mr. Brackett was a US Navy Veteran and he was a member of the Earlington Masonic Lodge. He worked for South Central Bell where he was a foreman.

He is survived by two sons, Bryan Brackett of Madisonville and Steve Brackett of Hopkins Co.; three sisters, Linda Pendley of Madisonville; Freda Goodman of Madisonville and Rev. Faye Bumpas of Madisonville; one brother, Bobby (Brenda) Brackett of Madisonville; four grandchildren, Steven Brackett; Timothy Brackett; Taylor Brackett; and Tanner Brackett and one great grandchild; Edward Ray Brackett.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville with military graveside rites conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
