vegetables marketOWENSBORO, Ky. (4/17/13) – The Owensboro Regional Farmers’ Market is kicking off what is expected to be the market’s best year yet, starting this weekend.

The Market features locally grown vegetables, flowers, meats and baked goods. This weekend, vegetable plants, flowers, early produce and more great items will be available. The Market is open 6:30 a.m. to noon each Saturday, starting with April 20 in the parking lot of Owensboro Christian Church, 2818 New Hartford Road. In June, the market will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

New this year, the Market will offer two satellite locations. In June and July, vendors from our region will be at New Life Church, 400 Crabtree Ave., 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays and at Smothers Park downtown 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays.

The Market is celebrating its 30th year.
