HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Verda Mae Carter, age 85, passed away at 9:55 P.M. on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Carter was born on February 28, 1928 to the late Council Daugherty & Mary Zetta Daugherty. She worked for many years at Outwood Hospital and was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Carter is survived by a daughter ~ Sandra Carter of Owensboro, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mrs. Carter in death were her parents, five brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY and from 9:00 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. funeral hour on Friday, April 19, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. E.J. Hatton. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
