Josephine Phelps, 86, of Madisonville, Ky

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Josephine Phelps, 86, of Madisonville, Ky passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on August 11, 1926 in Madisonville, KY. to the late Charles Lee Mills and Grace Blakeley Mills. She was a bookkeeper for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and a self employed seamstress. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville, Ky.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Jean Mills; and three brothers, James Mills, Douglas Wilson, and Buddy Wilson.

She is survived by her children, Ben (Reba) Qualls of Nokomis, FL; Martha Qualls of Nashville, TN; Peggy (John) Chastain of Evansville, IN; Dan (Carol) Qualls of Henderson, KY. and Thomas (Marsha) Qualls of Madisonville; six grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Danny Fireline officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4p.m. until 7p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Chastain, Matthew Qualls, Brad Holmes, Scott Gaines, Benjamin Cook and Lonnie Qualls.
