HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Myrtle Gladys Brinkley Wyatt, 92, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at her daughters home in Portage, IN.
She was born on December 26, 1920 in Madisonville, KY to the late Ethel and Jack Brinkley. She was a member of Christian Tabernacle Church in Madisonville. She was a homemaker and devoted mother to her children and her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband on December 20, 1989, James Homer Wyatt and her son on February 11, 2013, James Edward Wyatt; five sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Sue Moore of Hebron, IN, Linda Lou (Rodger) Larkins of Warrenton, MO, Glenda Faye Miller of Portage, IN, Ruth Ann (JR) Belt of Lowell, IN and Romona Dean (Donald) Yates of Slaughters, KY; twenty-one grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; twenty-one great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Donald Yates officiating. Burial to follow in Old Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, KY. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.
