Carrie Irene Abbott, 91 of Nortonville, KY

5sunsetNORTONVILLE, Ky. – Carrie Irene Abbott, 91 of Nortonville, KY, passed away Thursday May 30th 2013 at her home.

Born in Butler County August 28th, 1921 to the late Leslie Joseph and the late Elsie Elizabeth (Wester) Hill, Mrs. Abbott was a member of Greater Lighthouse Church and loved her family and friends.

She was survived by one daughter, Helen (Wesley) Hunt of Henderson; two sons, Ed Sherley (Janice) Abbott of Nortonville, and Barry (Michelle) Abbott of Nortonville; one sister, Rose Swingley of ID four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Abbott; son, Glenn Douglas Abbott; two daughters, Martha Angeline Abbott, Barbara Abbott Gamblin; granddaughter, Rhonda McIntosh; and grandson, Gary Alan Hulsey Jr.

Friends may call Saturday from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday from noon-2:00 p.m. at Bandy Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ronnie Hendricks and Bro. Jerry Hill officiating at Bandy Funeral Home, Nortonville.

Interment will be Sunday in New Salem Cemetery, Nortonville.

Pallbearers will be Vince Abbott, Trent Abbott, Angelia Gamblin, Joe Burgess, Hunter Underwood Ronnie Abbott
