Dwight Crawford

1sunsetHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Dwight Crawford passed away at Baptist Health on Friday, June 21, 2013. He was born in McLean Co. to the late Corbett and Mary Revlett Crawford on September 4, 1934. Surviving are his wife, Jo Nell Daugherty Crawford who he married on August 5, 1958, one son Andy (Stephanie) Crawford and granddaughters, Shelby and Casey Crawford.

He is survived by brothers, Neville (Joann) Crawford, Donnie (Pat) Crawford both of Madisonville and Tim (Debbie) Crawford of Crofton; two sisters, Dorothy (Don) Eli and Kay Smith both of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Perry Crawford.

He was a veteran. He worked as a lineman for the City of Madisonville, Ziegler Coal and Peabody Coal. He owned and operated Anton Grocery and A & D Sporting Goods. But the job he loved best was after retirement as driver of Kindergarten and Special Needs bus for Hopkins Co. School System with his side-kick Chesley Rodgers.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the horse races.

At his request, graveside services will be held Monday, June 24, 2013 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Anton, KY on Hwy 70. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Bethlehem Christian Church 95 Central City Rd. Madisonville, KY 42431.
