1flowerHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Elsie Lutz Sullivan, 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 5:25 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on January 18, 1924 in Hanson, KY to the late Bertha Dame Lutz and Pearl Clinton Lutz. She was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Pete" Sullivan; brothers, Raymond Lutz, A.W. Lutz, Douglas Lutz, Lonnie Lutz and Lona Lutz; sisters, Marie Lutz Reid and Ilene Lutz Webster and great-great-grandson, Parker Overfield.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Jerry Sullivan of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Judy (Dallas) Clark of Madisonville; son, Jim (Nancy) Sullivan of Louisville, KY; daughter, Janice (Larry) Zummach of Plainfield, IN; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Mary Barnett, Pat "Sissy" Minton and Rita McKinsey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial to follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour Sunday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Ericksen, Tim Sullivan, Mason Overfield, Mark Troop, John Sullivan, Frank Thornbury, Jeremy Barbour and Phil Pratt.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rowdy Animal Rescue at any Independence Bank.
