Nancy Vanderveer, 87, formally of Madisonville, KY

4sunsetEDDYVILLE, Ky. - Nancy Vanderveer, 87, formally of Madisonville, KY, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the home of her daughter following a long illness. She was a devoted mother, homemaker, and a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Hopkins County.

Survivors include two sons, Lloyd Vanderveer & wife Beverly, Hanson, KY; Phillip Vanderveer, & wife Elizabeth, Greensboro, NC; two daughters, Joanna Gamblin, Eddyville, KY; Vicki Fox & husband Keith, Paducah, KY; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley Watts, Richland, KY; Jerry Watts, Dawson Springs, KY; three sisters, Evelyn Clayton, South Bend, IN; Martha Offilend, MO; Bertha Sugar, MO.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Vanderveer; parents, Wiley and Jettie Poole Watts; one son in law, Jesse Gamblin; and one brother, Gene Watts.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville with Bro. Jonathan Harrelson officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Hopkins County. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the funeral time Saturday.
