Sally Loyd, 78, of Madisonville, KY

1cloudsHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Sally Loyd, 78, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 5 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at her home.

She was born on September 26, 1934 in Tolu, KY to the late Eula and Raymond Jones. She was a devoted homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin "Buddy" Loyd; her sister, Linda Armstrong; and her brothers, Charles R. Jones, Mack Jones, Robert Jones and Harold Jones.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Roger) Tippett of Hanson, KY and Donna (Steve) Ray of Madisonville; her son, James Michael (Regina) Loyd of Bowling Green, KY; her brother, Jimmy Jones of Paducah, KY; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Chuck Evans officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. The pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
