Nellie Mae Gibson, 87, of Madisonville, KY

2flowerHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Nellie Mae Gibson, 87, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville.

She was born April 24, 1926 in Barnsley, KY to the late Robert Hartline and Mae Gibbons Hartline. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Finis Jewel Gibson; three sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Gibson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville. She was a sales representative for Baker and Hickman Family Shoe Store and JC Penney's.

She is survived by one daughter, Vickie (Rob) Robertson of White Bluff, TN; one son, Rodney Gibson of Madisonville; two grandchildren, Buddy Cox of White Bluff, TN and Ben Cox of Maryville, TN; and four great grandchildren, Nick Cox, Luke Cox, Katie Cox and Tyler W. Cox.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday and after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Shriners. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
