WKU Lifelong Learning Offers Graduate Level Test Preparation Programs

wku red borderBOWLING GREEN, Ky. (7/27/13) - Standardized tests help determine admission status and are often used in merit-based scholarships, grants, fellowships and assistantships. Students preparing for graduate level programs can improve their standardized test scores through WKU Lifelong Learning’s test preparation programs.

GRE, LSAT and GMAT test prep courses are available for students planning to attend graduate school, law school or business school.

“Test preparation courses are shown to reduce test-taking stress, increase scores and improve students’ chances of being accepted into their program,” said Lifelong Learning Program Director Cindy Ehresman. “Learning the strategies of how to take this type of exam is half the battle, so these programs are vital to student success.”

Courses are offered online and face-to-face. Free workshops are also available. WKU Graduate Studies will waive the graduate school application fee for any student that completes a WKU Lifelong Learning test prep course.

“Our courses offer outstanding classroom instruction from experts in the field, so students know they are getting the best instruction available,” Ehresman added.

Prep courses are available beginning in late August. Course fees, dates, times and locations vary. Free Strategy Workshops are offered in September.

The Lifelong Learning office is part of WKU’s Continuing and Professional Development unit within WKU Extended Learning & Outreach(DELO) and is committed to providing this community with learning opportunities for every age group and in a variety of interest areas
