Larry Ralph Hentges, 61, of Madisonville, KY

1sunsetHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Larry Ralph Hentges, 61, of Madisonville, KY, passed away August 22, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.

He was born November 21, 1951 in Waterloo, IA to the late Ralph Hentges and Shirley Yearling Hentges.

Mr. Hentges worked as a service field engineer at ABB and most recently a bus driver. He was a soccer coach at North Hopkins High School.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Hentges; two daughters, Christina Hentges of Madisonville and Laura Trautman of Madisonville; one son, Kurtis Hentges of Madisonville; one sister, Vicki (Darby) Lawrence of Rochester, MN; four grand children, Bryce Hentges, Ella Hentges, Evan Cole Phillips, and Carly Williams, all of Madisonville; two nephews, David Barr and Andrew Lawrence; and two nieces, Erin Lawrence and Sarah Lawrence.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Father John Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, and from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kurtis Hentges, Brycen Hentges, Andrew Lawrence, David Barr, John Tichenor, and Pete Peyton. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Dugger, Pete Clark, Dave Morse, Scott Hillyard, Russ Blink, and Darby Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Western KY Veterans Center. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
