2flowerHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Norma Ruth Lisenby, 83, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at her home following a battle with cancer.

She was born on August 17, 1930 in Sterling, CO to the late George Perry and Mertle Earle Timmons. She attained an associate degree from the University of Kentucky and worked for twenty-two years for the State of Kentucky.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tonya Nicole King and her great-grandson, Andrew Garrett Hilliard.

She is survived by her children, Edward 'Pete' Lisenby Jr., Paula Hilliard, Christy King all of Hopkinsville, Debbie Thomas of Cadiz, KY and Carol Warren of Little Rock, AR; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside cremation service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Onton Cemetery in Onton, KY. Burial to follow. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
