Katherine Bearden, 79, of Madisonville, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Katherine Bearden, 79, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Hillside Villa Care and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

She was born on March 25, 1934 in Centertown, KY to the late Emma and R.C. Tichenor. She was a devoted homemaker and loving mother and grandmother to her family. She attended Liberty Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bearden; her infant son; her sister, Marie Eckard; and her brothers, Oscar Tichenor and Arnold Tichenor.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie (Debbie) Bearden of Madisonville; her brothers, Henry Tichenor of Madisonville, Johnny Tichenor of Calvert City, KY and Glen Tichenor of Madisonville; her grandchildren, Nick Bearden of Madisonville and Tiffany Rose of Louisville, KY; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Rose and Connor Rose both of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services  held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Tondra Daugherty officiating. Burial to follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Pallbearers will be Eric Eagle, Ricky Eagle, Tyler Cartwright, Nick Bearden, Jerad Rose and Corey Vincent.
