HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Eugene Cotton Sr., 71, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away at 6:17 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on February 2, 1942 in Madisonville, KY to the late Fairy Cotton Bivins. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Cotton; his step-father, Guy Bivins and his daughter, Mary Chapman.

He is survived by his daughters, Sherrie Clark of Ohio and Debbie Knight of Madisonville; his sons, Mike Cotton of Hanson, KY, Troy Cotton of Dawson Springs, KY, Eugene Cotton Jr. of Illinois, Richie Cotton of Dawson Springs and Greg Cotton of Ohio; and fifteen grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville was in charge of arrangements.
