Road Work Planned on Ky. Hwy. 54

ky trans_300OWENSBORO, Ky. (10/8/13) - A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans asphalt paving along Ky. Hwy. 54 in Daviess County starting Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Paving along Ky. 54/Leitchfield Road will take place from Jack Hinton Road at mile point 8.003 extending eastward to near Durinda Street at mile point 15.810, a distance of just over seven miles. This is the section of Ky. 54 from just east of Philpot extending through Whitesville.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required.

Yager Materials is the prime contractor on this $1,344,959 highway improvement project. The work is expected to take about two to three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
