Richard Buford Graham, 86 of Madisonville, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Richard Buford Graham, 86 of Madisonville, KY passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.

He was born November 2, 1926 in Hopkins County to the late Lona Buford Graham and Fannie Waller Bassett Graham. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Isabel Myers Graham and one brother, Worth Douglas Graham.

Mr. Graham was a member of The First Christian Church in Madisonville. He was also a WWII Navy Veteran who severed in the South Pacific. He retired in 1992 from the coal industry, having worked for West Ky Coal, Badgett Coal Mining, and Cimarron Coal Corp.

He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Fan Graham Waddle who is married to Richard of Louisville, KY and Jessica Jill Graham Deahl who is married to Scott of Hanson; grandsons, Lee Graham Waddle of Baltimore, MD, Christopher Lynn Deahl of Atlanta, GA, Neil Myers Waddle of Atlanta and Gregory Lee Deahl of Hanson; one brother, Charles Bassett Graham of Hopkinsville, KY; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Christian Church of Madisonville, Building Fund, 1030 College Dr., Madisonville, KY 42431.
