Bobby Gene Brackett, 69, of Madisonville, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Bobby Gene Brackett, 69, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 11, 1944 to the late Leamon and Edna Franklin Brackett. He was retired from CSX Railroad and was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Brackett, Ray Brackett and Norris Brackett and his sister, Betty Wray.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Brenda Duncan Brackett; his daughters, Sherry (Jerry) Kuhn of Newburgh, IN, Janice Hopper, Donna Brackett and Kimberly (Colby) Faulk of Madisonville, KY; his grandchildren, Madison, Jonas, Lucius Faulk, Brandon (Ashli) Hale, Nathan (Libby) Hale, Cory (Jade) Hopper and Dustin Hopper; his great-grandchildren, Brennan and Karissa Hale, Ayden and Daxtin Hale; his step-grandchildren, Ethan (Laura) Kuhn, Logan Kuhn and Tyler Helton; his step-great-grandchildren, Elijah and Kennett Kuhn; his sisters, Faye Bumpus, Linda Pendley and Freda Goodman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Greg Gaddis officiating. Burial to follow in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until the funeral hour Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Hale, Nathan Hale, Dustin Hopper, Cory Hopper, Scott Tarter and Randy King. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonas Faulk, Lucius Faulk, Ethan Kuhn and Logan Kuhn
