Central Christmas Events Planned

decor 300CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (11/27/13) — The official Christmas Tree Lighting comes to downtown Central City will be 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2.

Carmel Sheppard Rich of the Central City Tourism Commission told Surfky News that this year the tree is bigger and better than ever.

"We want to invite everyone to kick off the Christmas season, by joining us for this extra special occasion. We also will other great activities going on all through December. Best of all, this chance to have your picture taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus at their house in downtown Central City. That will be happening on Dec. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. Then it's the annual Central City Christmas Parade, happening December 15 at 5 p.m. The theme is Winter Wonderland."
