The Daviess County Public Library will host ‘Saturday Morning Live’ 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Jan. 4. There will be self-guided education activities with a focus on literacy and school readiness. For more information, contact: (270) 684-0211.

The Owensboro City Commissioners will hold a regular meeting 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 101 E. 4th Street. For more information, contact: (270) 687-8552.

The Tony Award winning Broadway musical, “Million Dollar Quartet”, will be performed 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Jan. 9 at the RiverPark Center. The musical is inspired by a true story about a recording session that brought together icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. The Daviess County Public Library will host a ‘Memoir Workshop’ with regional author, Kristine Adams 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Jan. 11. Adams will present a workshop that helps prepare writers to get started on capturing their memories. For more information, go to: www.dcplibrary.org.

Verite Cinema will host the third ‘Unscripted’ independent film series starting 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Jan. 11. The six-week series offers local and regional filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work, and gives audiences the chance to participate in a live, interactive question and answer session with the director.
