Robert Michael Schmaltz, 46, of Henderson, formerly of Madisonville, Ky

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Robert Michael Schmaltz, 46, of Madisonville, Ky, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.

He was born July 18, 1967 in Hammond, IN to Robert 'Bob' Bine Schmaltz and the late Lana Faye Bean Schmaltz. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Olive Schmaltz and Elmer 'Sonny' Bean.

Mr. Schmaltz worked in the shipping department at Tyson Foods. He was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, April Vannoy Schmaltz; one son; Tristan Michael Schmaltz of Madisonville; two daughters, Kyra Marchelle Schmaltz of Madisonville, and Kaya Mae Schmaltz of Henderson; three sisters, Michelle Hope Downs of Madisonville, Kimberly Darlene Dame of Madisonville, and Karen Page Schmaltz of Madisonville, and nieces and nephews, Eric Downs, Tanner Cuppett, Landon Burden, Lana Mitchell, Chase Dame, Tara Dame, Hannah Dame, Haylee (Brad) Kelly, Hillary Johnson, Moana Yandall and Feai Yandall.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Bethlehem Cemetery with Dr. Bob Morrison officiating with burial to follow.

Pallbearers will be Keithie Bean, Brad Kelly, Nathan Miller, Joe Bean, Wayne Bean, and Robert Bryant.
