Loreane Jones, 90, of Madisonville, Ky

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. - Loreane Jones, 90, of Madisonville, Ky, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at Brighton Cornerstone in Madisonville.

She was born March 3, 1923 in Hopkins County, Ky to the late W.T. Ashby and Lilly Hall Ashby. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Jones; one sister, Ann Bell; and several half brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She loved going to church and attended as long as she was able to. She also loved doing jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by one son, Ken (Sue) Jones of Madisonville, and one half sister, Mary Soto of Evansville, IN.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m.., Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Terry Bell, Richard Harris, Danny Jones, Eddie Jones, Roger Jones, Randy Jones, and Tommy Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Jones, Greg Jones, Johnny Jones, Riley Ashby, and Billy Keller.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Olive Branch Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
