Phillip “PJ” Phelps Jr., 24, of Madisonville, Ky

MADISONVILLE, Ky. – Phillip “PJ” Phelps Jr., 24, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Madisonville.

He was born October 7, 1989 in Hopkins County, KY to Phillip Phelps Sr. and Rebecca Joan Likens Phelps. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Langdon.

He enjoyed running with his buddies, spending time with his daughter, getting tattoos, cutting up and having fun, aggravating his dad, and going through life with a smile.

He is survived by his parents, Phillip Phelps, Sr. and Rebecca Joan Likens; one daughter, Addison Lilly Buchanon of Madisonville; one sister, Natasha Phelps of Hopkins County; one brother of Glendell Phelps of Hopkins County; grandparents; Frank Langdon of Hopkins County; and grandmother, Barbara Likens of Spencer, IN.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Harris officiating. Burial will follow at GrapevineCemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until the service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Glendell Phelps, Eric Payne, Cavan Jackson, Matt Jones, Tommy Shelton, Calvin Milum, Austin Williams, and Patrick Winebarger.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Phillip Phelps, c/o Independence Bank. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
