Teen Struck by Train in Sebree

pedestrian hit by trainSEBREE, Ky. (5/6/14) —  The Kentucky State Police are investigating a train vs. pedestrian collision that occurred near South Spring Street in Sebree at approximately 9:43 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 17-year-old male juvenile was on the train tracks just south of South Spring Street when he was struck by a CSX train that was traveling northbound.

The juvenile was air lifted to St. Mary's in Evansville and is listed in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Trooper Nathan Craft investigated the collision. He was assisted on the scene by Sergeant Daniel White, Trooper Cody Kromer, Trooper Jonathan Murphy, Webster County Sheriff's Department, Webster County EMS, Webster County Rescue Squad, and PHI Air Medical.
