William Herbert Doan 'Bro. Doan,' 78, of Mt. Carmel, Ill.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. – William Herbert Doan "Bro. Doan," 78, of Mt. Carmel, Ill., passed away June 24, 2014 in Madisonville. Bro. Doan was an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. He was born August 27, 1935 to the late Herbert Edward Doan and Naomi George Doan Bryant.

He was also preceded in death by his step-dad, Murl P. Bryant; one brother, Thomas Edward Doan; and two sisters, Nellie Mae Hansman and Charlotte Burkhart.

He is survived by wife of 57 years, Joyce; daughter and son in law, Danette and Richard Emery of Hanson, Ky.; grandsons, William (Beth) Spicer of Lagrange, Ky., David (Editha) Spicer of Clarksville, Tenn., and Kevin Stone of Hanson; granddaughter, Kimberly (Seth) Stanley of Sebree, Ky.; great grandchildren, Eagan, Zeanna, Caroline, and Ronan; and sisters, Betty Gallatin and Barbara Wilson both of Tucson, Ariz.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson with Pastor Daniel Bradshaw officiating.

In lieu of flowers, make a donation to your local Hospice. Barnett-Strother is in charge of arrangements.
