SLAUGHTERS, Ky. (6/26/14) — Dedicated to providing services to families with care and compassion, Tomblinson Funeral Homes has been trusted for more than 50 years in helping plan the celebrations of lives.

Tomblinson's was first established in 1956 by Paul Tompkins in Sebree, where he owned and operated the business until his retirement in 1988. The business was then taken over by his son, who operated it until Dec. 31, 2002.

“It first started in Slaughters in 1976, but has been in business since 1956 in Sebree,” said owner Chip Tomblinson. “I started in 1993, where I worked for the Tompkins family for years before I purchased it.”

Then on Jan. 1, 2003, Tomblinson purchased the business, and changed the name on Aug. 1, 2006.

“We have a large, full-service facility and chapel here in Slaughters,” said funeral director Beckye Veazey. “We also have a very friendly staff, who is here to help you through tough times.”

In great demand from residents of Henderson and Henderson County, a facility was opened on March 7, 2011 in downtown Henderson off First Street. It was a venture both Tomblinson and Tony Hinkle felt was necessary to better serve their community.

Tomblinson offers services that suit family needs and customs. In addition to funeral services, Tomblinson offers a full line of markers, monuments and mausoleums.

Tomblinson Funeral Homes is located on 45 Green Hills Court Slaughters, Ky.
