Bruce Alan Payne, Sr., 52, of Madisonville, Ky.

bruce alan_payneMADISONVILLE, Ky. – Bruce Alan Payne, Sr., 52, of Madisonville, Ky. passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville.

He was born August 1, 1961 in Princeton, W.Va. to Mrs. Okey Spencer Payne and the late Charles Payne.

Mr. Payne was a member of Christian Tabernacle Church where he was the soundman and drummer. He enjoyed fishing and CB radios, where his call name was "Red Flash." He also loved the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Cheri Tingle Payne; two daughters, Aleighsha (David) Penrod of Madisonville and Amber (Jacob) James of Madisonville; one son, Bruce (Janna) Payne, Jr., of Monticello, Ky.; two sisters, Pamela Payne of Asheville, N.C. and Kathy Beck of Thomasville, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Austin Penrod, Daylon Penrod, Paislee Payne, Khloe James, Paris Penrod, Alyssa James, and Brody Payne.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at Christian Tabernacle Church with Pastor Junior Tingle officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Memorial donation may be made to the Bruce Payne Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
