Orvil Gene Majors 78, of White Plains, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Orvil Gene Majors  78, of White Plains, KY died Saturday morning November 5, 2011 at 2:00 a.m. at his home after a lengthy illness.  Orvil was born June 26, 1933 in Muhlenberg County Kentucky the son of Tom Majors and Rainey Groves Majors. He was or the Pentecostal faith and he retired from Hawthorn Mines in Duggar, In. after 36 years as a UMWA coal miner.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Daughter and son –in-law Debra  and Jerry Kendell and grandson Jason Crynes.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Reeves Majors of White Plains, KY; Son Orville Lynn Majors of Michigan City,  IN;  Sister Flora Bell Gibson of Depoy, KY.  Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon November 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, KY.  Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery White Plains, KY.
