Ramona Key, age 78, of Nortonville

NORTONVILLE, KY - Ramona Faye Key, 78, passed away on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011, at her home in Nortonville, KY, where she was surrounded by family and loved ones.

She was born September 21st, 1933 in Daniel Boone, KY the daughter of the late Richard Farmer and Eunice Maxwell Farmer.

Mrs. Key was a member of the White Plains Church of Christ. She worked as a nurse/LPN and retired from Muhlenberg Community Hospital. She was a member of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie (Larry) Chandler of Nortonville, Lisa (Jeff) Phillips of Nortonville, and Laura (Linda Cinader) Moore of Ypsilanti, MI; six grandchildren, Chris Compton, Leslie Curneal, Brian Chandler, Scott Chandler, Nate Phillips, and Patrick Phillips; sixteen great grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Lilly.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 5th, 2011, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. George Wunderlich officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 4, 2011 and then from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour on Saturday, November 5th, all at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, at 520 8th Ave, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018, Green River Hospice at 418 N. Scott Street, Madisonville, KY 42431, and Healing Hands International at 455 McNally Dr. Nashville, TN 37211.
