Darrell Oglesby, 65, of Manitou, KY

blueskyHOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Darrell Oglesby, 65, of Manitou, KY passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at his home.

He was born on September 23, 1946 in Madisonville, KY to the late Willie and Lelia Oglesby. He retired as a truck dispatcher with TMT.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Verdell Oglesby.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Sandra Oglesby; three sons, Kevin (Tina) Oglesby, Duane (Paula) Oglesby both of Madisonville and Kenneth (Rachel Allen Oglesby) Oglesby of Manitou; two sisters, Betty Oglesby of Manitou and Carolyn Oglesby Greer of Madisonville; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will be in Concord General Baptist Church Cemetery in Manitou.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Green River Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
