sunsetbridgeHANSON, KY - Ernest (Ernie) Smith, 90, Hanson, KY (formerly of Princeton) passed away Wednesday at 12:55 AM at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY after a long illness. He was a retired machine operator and custodian for Caldwell County Middle School. He was a member of Sinking Fork Christian Church. He was WWII and Korean Army veteran.

Ernie is survived by one son, E. Lowell Smith, Sr., Georgetown, KY, one daughter, Terrie Webb, Hopkinsville,KY, two sisters, Margaret Smith, Clarksville, TN and Irene Ingram, Nashville, TN, six grandchildren, Robin Ashley, Heidi Mullins, Stephen Grame, Valerie Lowery, Robert Smith and Alex Smith, four great grandchildren, Brooke Mullins, Chelsie Mullins, Joshua Reed and Natalia Ashley and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Davis Smith, parents, Ewin Worth and Bessie Snowbelle Nelson Smith, two brothers, Fred Randolph Smith and Wilson Worth Smith and one sister, Nellie Ruth Oliver.

Visitation will be from noon to 2:30 Saturday at Morgan's Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30PM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Jones and Chaplain Sam Beeny officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with military graveside services to be held.
