HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - David D. Menser, age 83, of St. Charles, KY, passed away at 12:40 P.M. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Menser was born September 12, 1928 in Hopkins County, KY. He was of the Christian Faith and was a member of the Al E. Orten Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Menser served his country in the United States Army from 1946 – 1948. He was the President of Leaseway Transportation Company, a trustee at Christian Privilege Cemetery and and spearheaded the Menser Family Gathering.

Mr. Menser is survived by a son & daughter-in-law ~ Karl & Wendy Menser of St. Charles, KY; Three Grandchildren ~ Timothy (Charlotta) Menser, Melanie Menser, & Tiffany (Frank) Davis; and one great-grandson ~ Jonas Davis.

Preceding Mr. Menser in death were his parents ~ Thomas & Ella Alsbrook Menser; his wife ~ Margaret Menser; a son ~ David Lee Menser; two sisters ~ Francis & Ruth; four brothers ~ Vernon, Leonard, Denzie, & Wayne.

Visitation will be Monday, November 21, 2011 from 4 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY, and on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, from 9 A.M. until the funeral hour at 1 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted by Elder Jeremiah Leber on Tuesay, November 22, 2011at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home. Burial will be in Christian Privilege Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.

Pallbearers will be Richard Menser, Raymond Menser, Frank Davis, Timothy Menser, Scott Basham & David Bryant.
