Loretta Joy Lykins, 50 of Nebo

 

1doveHOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Loretta Joy Lykins, 50 of Nebo, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2 at her home.

She was born on May 4, 1961 in Madisonville to Charles and Ester Tapp.

She attended school at Nebo and lived there all of her life.

She worked as a bar tender until ill health forced her retirement.

Joy was a member of Oakley Home Church and enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking and was a very good cook.

Survivors include two sons, Derrik Tapp  and Dalton Lykins both of Hanson and a daughter Vanessa Miller of Slaughters.

Three grandchildren, three brothers Ronnie Tapp of Robards, Paul and Timmy Tapp of Nebo and four sisters, Joan Rogers and Marisa Reed of Nebo, Anne Francis of Madisonville and Charlotte Hammack of Manitou.

She was preceded in death by a brother Carroll Tapp.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 5 at 11 AM at Jones & Erdman in Providence with Bro. Neil Kolodey officiating.  Private interment will be at Oakley Home Cemetery.  Visitation is on Monday from 10 AM to service time at the funeral home.
