Oma Eardine Scott, age 81, of Dawson Springs, KY

oma scottHOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Oma Eardine Scott, age 81, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away at 8:48 A.M. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton, KY.

Ms. Scott was born June 12, 1930 in Logan County, KY. She was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church of Dawson Springs. She worked and retired with Buckhorn Manufacturing in Dawson Springs, KY.

Ms. Scott is survived by two daughters and six sons. Her daughters include: Martine (Bobby) Hope of Mountain City, TN; and Brenda (Jack) Thomas of Dawson Springs, KY. Her sons include: Danny Scott of Petersburg, VA, Darrell (Carolyn) Scott of Russellville, KY, Mendel (Bernedette) Scott of Dawson Springs, KY, Ricky (Denise) Scott of White Plains, KY, Bobby (Debbie) Scott of Dawson Springs, KY, and Steve (Julie) Scott of Dawson Springs, KY; eighteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

Ms. Scott was preceded in death by her parents~ Lonnie Pete Bellar and James Florence Anderson Baugh; her son~ Gary Dale Scott; her husband~ William Russell Scott; her brother~ Clifford Bellar; and her sister~ Margie McKinney.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Gospel Assembly Church in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Clyde Sharber and Brother David Eli officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville, KY.

Active Pallbearers are her sons. Honorary Pallbearers will be her ten grandsons: Lonnie Scott, Brandon Scott, Dewayne Scott, Dale Hope, Jarrid Scott, Justin Scott, Derek Scott, Ethan Scott, Abe Music and Adam Perkins.
