Willoughby C. Pryor, 69, of Hopkins County

willoughbyHOPKINS COUNTY, KY -Willoughby C. Pryor, 69, of Hopkins County, Kentucky passed away on Saturday December 10th, 2011, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY.

He was born February 27th, 1942 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Levi Cleveland and late Lucille Pryor.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey R. Pryor Blanchard; two brothers, Walter and Samuel Pryor; and one nephew, Matthew Armstrong.

He made his living as a coal miner. He was also a faithful member of Castleberry Baptist Church. He became a child of God at the age of 15. He enjoyed going to church, reading his bible, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family, many friends, and little dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Emma Sue, two sons, George (Julie) Pryor of Hanson, KY, and Kelly Pryor of Manitou, KY; son-in-law, Steve Blanchard of Nebo, KY; two brothers, Roger (Freida) Pryor of Bremen, KY, and Harland (Barbara) Pryor of Nebo, KY; five sisters, Sue (Hayden) Gibson of Slaughters, KY, Mada Armstrong of Dawson Springs, KY, Brenda (Frank) Moore of Kuttawa, KY, Nora Conger of Nebo, KY, and Ellen (Carl) Ransom, of Nebo, KY ; seven grandchildren, Michael Pryor, Toni Pryor, Ashley Pryor, Austin Pryor, Mackenzie Busby, Steven Blanchard, and Hilari Blanchard; and two great grandchildren, Tristyn Miller and Payten Blanchard.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 13th at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Oakley Home Cemetery in Manitou.

Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service hour on Tuesday at the funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Roger Pryor, Harland Pryor, Steve Blanchard, Steven Blanchard, Michael Pryor, and Austin Pryor.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Gideons International. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
