Kathy Mae Wilkes, 47, Earlington

 

crossflowersEARLINGTON, KY - Kathy Mae Wilkes, 47, Earlington, passed away at 11:11 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Earlington. She was a former employee of Tyson Foods and a member of the Local 227 United Foods Commercial Workers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Wilkes Sr. and Louise Cunningham Wilkes.

Survivors include her companion, Gary Sharp Sr. of Madisonville; two daughters, Sophelia Wilkes and DeAndra Sharp, both of Madisonville; one son, Gary Sharp Jr. of Madisonville; four sisters, Myra Wilkes, Clara Moore and Mary Springfield, all of Madisonville, and Ruby Ford of Hopkinsville; four brothers, Clyde Wilkes and Albert Springfield, both of Madisonville, Russell Wilkes Jr. of Earlington and Lawan Allison of Greenville; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Earlington. The Rev. Glen Cowan will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Elliott Mortuary in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
